The opportunity:
What I'll be doing - A day in the life
Through effective management and communication, you will lead the proactive safety culture of the business, contributing to a sustainable and profitable business. You will lead and influence people to do good work every day.
Operational 'getting stuff done'
Promote, lead and support the safety culture of the company
Take responsibility for HSQTE within the company to ensure compliance with the company health and safety policy
Assist with the development, updating and maintenance and implementation of the living safely manual to ensure compliance with H&S legislation, regulations and standards, and codes of practice
Ensure the systems in the manual are implemented and complied with throughout the company
Provide advice, guidance, support and training to management and staff at all levels in relation to health and safety
Assist management in complying with the company quality policy
Manage the procedures and requirements of the company's environmental policy
You'll also contribute to any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications I need to be successful
Must have formal health and safety qualifications, or working towards one
Management experience and proven experience in leading a successful team
Minimum 5 years experience in roading, civil or construction industries
Minimum 5 years experience in a Health & Safety role
