We are on the lookout for our next influx of skilled spray painters to work on our clients' fleet of marine vessels. The job will be onboarding and starting over the next 2 weeks.
If you have previous experience working on large merchant ships, in an automotive spray shop, or in an industrial painting environment, we want to hear from you!
ABOUT THE ROLE - This is an awesome opportunity to assist with the maintenance and refurbishment of some of NZ's most iconic vessels.
WHAT TO EXPECT - Surface preparation, priming, paint application, antifouling, maintenance, compliance, documentation.
Types of coating used in this role:
- 2 pot paints: Bring your expertise in applying top-notch painting.
- Acrylic Emulsion Coatings for Smooth Exterior Metal: Specifically tailored for primed metal surfaces on smooth exteriors.
- Non-Flame Emulsions (Water-based): Work with fire-retardant, non-intumescent coatings designed for interior spaces on naval ships and submarines.
- Fire Retardant Chlorinated Alkyd (Solvent-based): Apply your knowledge of solvent-based coatings, particularly fire-retardant Chlorinated Alkyd, to contribute to the protective measures required in challenging industrial settings.
