We are Australasia's premier golf marketing and sponsorship specialists. We partner with golf clubs to design, market and manage professional sponsorship programs. Our services include marketing and brand engagement, sponsorship sales, professional signage solutions and graphic design services.
Established in 2015, OnPar is passionate about the sport of golf and proud to support regional golf clubs to achieve their vision.
Demand for our services is growing and we are currently undergoing a period of expansion to meet that demand. This is an exciting time for OnPar and we are looking for a superstar Sponsorship Engagement Specialist to join our team and be part of the next stage in our evolution.
OnPar is situated in a large, home-based office in Maungatapu. With 9 team members, a cat and the occasional appearance of multiple kids it has a real family feel!
About the Role
Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, this role is all about creating and managing relationships! On a daily basis you will pull together successful sponsorship advertising campaigns, work collaboratively with sponsors to present their brands to the golfing community in a vibrant and enticing way. The structure and process is all ready and waiting for you to bring your own talents, skills and personality to make the role your own.
Role Purpose:
Build and sustain quality relationships with golf club sponsors
Develop, influence and execute effective campaign engagement strategies with sponsors and golf clubs
Support and influence golf club GM's and other key staff to build quality relationships with their sponsors
Deliver outstanding customer service to all stakeholders
Engage with our values and demonstrate effective personal leadership whilst contributing to a great team and company culture.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 8hrs per day, Monday to Friday with some flexibility in start/finish times available.
About You
As a small team working in an open plan office it's important we all gel. We're looking for someone who fits well with our team culture and adds their own flair. If you have a good level of confidence, don't take yourself too seriously, are friendly, sociable, and hold yourself accountable you'll likely fit in well.
The key skills you need to possess:
Relationship and stakeholder management : Create, manage and influence the sponsorship engagement lifecycle whilst being accountable for the execution of strategies. Be proactive and set clear expectations with golf clubs, sponsors and the wider OnPar team.
Written & Verbal Communication : Communicate effectively and professionally. From phone-based conversations, deciding on appropriate email tone to proofreading external communications, your skills directly reflect the professionalism of our business.
A solid customer-centric approach : Understanding how to best present our customer's products and services, develop effective calls to action, provide guidance and influence the conversation when the sponsor is unclear about how to proceed.
Influencing : Be the voice of reason in an empathetic and genuine way.
Creativity and problem solving : Able to recommend interesting and relevant engagement strategies.
Resilience and confidence : Prefer picking up the phone over sending emails, can identify and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Record keeping : Accurate records of conversations, agreements and outcomes are essential in this business.
Multi-tasking and prioritising : Can juggle effectively and make changes when required.
IT systems : Can competently use Microsoft Office and pick up systems well.
Your experience:
Marketing; you may have worked on advertising campaigns, project delivery or similar.
Communications; you have developed the skills to represent the company in external communications.
Relationship Management; you have significant experience managing clients in a B2B environment.
An interest in golf would be great but not essential!
