About the Role Hauora a Toi – Bay of Plenty is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Therapist to provide high-quality services across inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and community settings. This diverse role offers the opportunity to work with children, supporting their communication and swallowing needs, and may also include service delivery to adults when required.
This is a part-time position offering 24 hours per week (0.6FTE), providing a great balance for those seeking meaningful work with flexibility.
With guidance from our supportive paediatric clinical lead, you will have access to professional growth and development opportunities. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to whanau-centered care, with a focus on equity and support for Maori.

Our multidisciplinary team collaborates across various inpatient areas and community settings, ensuring patient-focused care in a supportive and inclusive environment. About You We are seeking a collaborative and skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Sound knowledge of informal and formal assessment tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong ability to work within a team to achieve patient and whanau-focused goals.Prior paediatric and instrumental assessment and/or video fluoroscopy experience (preferred).Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
