Mo te turanga - About the role
As an SLT in Southland, you'll work across a wide and professionally rewarding range of areas, enhancing your expertise and knowledge every step of the way. It's a chance to put your versatile skills to best use - assisting patients with swallowing, stroke recovery, neuro-degenerative conditions, Parkinson's, and Motor Neuron Disease (MND). You will collaborate closely with medical teams, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and allied health assistants to shape and deliver comprehensive treatment plans.

We are able to support a New Graduate through their New Graduate Framework cementing your learning across a variety of presentations within a supportive and social team. This is a terrific opportunity for a New Graduate SLT giving you a chance to work across several areas of practice. We are also open to welcoming a Speech-language Therapist with solid experience who has an interest in working in a generalist environment in both inpatients, outpatients, and community. Just as important will be your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate written communication. You will value a patient and whanau centred approach, placing them at the heart of your practice.

This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
