Position: Speech Language Therapist at Gisborne Hospital
Hours: 80 hours per fortnight
Type: Full-time permanent

About the Role
This is a generalist position where you will be working across a range of settings (inpatients, outpatients, community) with patients with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders. You will manage your own caseload and have opportunities for professional development within a supportive team environment.
This role is suited for an experienced SLT looking for a varied clinical role or a recent graduate seeking to develop a wide range of skills; clinical supervision will be provided.

We are a small but dedicated and friendly SLT team, aiming to deliver a high quality, patient-centered, responsive, evidence-based, and equitable speech language therapy service. We value creating a safe and inclusive working environment.

A current full driver's licence.
All candidates will be subject to a police screen.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in dysphagia assessment and management, VFSS or FEES competencies would be great but not essential.
A degree in Speech Language Therapy and membership of (or be eligible for membership of) the NZSTA.
