About the Role: Supporting children with high and complex communication and eating, drinking and swallowing support needsCommunity based - supporting whanau/families in their homes and children in their Early Learning ServicesWork as part of a team alongside an Early Intervention Teacher as well as other Specialists from other community based organisationsWork in partnership with whanau/families and early childhood teachers in developing and implementing Speech-Language Therapy 'programmes' for each childContribute to Individual Plan and ORS applicationsAbout you: A recognised qualification in Speech-Language TherapyEligibility for membership of NZSTAUndergraduate paediatric dysphagia training and post qualification experienceExperience working with preschool children in an interdisciplinary team environment.Experience with the implementation of Augmentative/Alternative Communication Systems.An ability to establish effective relationships with families / whanau, early childhood facilities and other agencies.We offer a supportive and flexible work environment including regular professional supervision.Applications from new graduates are welcome.
