This is a temporary opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist with mental health experience to work at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose-built 75-bed hospital in Wellington, Somerset.
You will be responsible for leading group therapy sessions, building rapport with service users, and completing assessments, planning, and implementing interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will also be undertaking audits and contributing to research in the provision of treatments.

You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose-built 75-bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with mental health problems.
The Wellesley Hospital, built in 2017, works alongside various NHS Trusts to deliver the best possible environment for patients with mental health issues.
You will lead group therapeutic sessions, helping people develop and improve their speech and communication.
Building one-to-one rapport with service users, you will encourage engagement and empower recovery.
You will have experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you in reaching your career goals.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be:

HCPC registration
Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
Experience of working with families
Evidence of continuing Professional Development
