Specimen Reception Technician

IDEXX are currently seeking a part-time technician to complete specimen reception within our core laboratory, working in our modern custom designed laboratory in Hamilton, New Zealand.

As a technician, you will be preparing samples received from our veterinary clinic customers. This role will be 20 hours per week and will preferably work within the hours of 10am and 6pm and Saturday mornings.

You will have: A Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent degree is preferable but not essential. Experience in specimen reception working within a multi-discipline diagnostics laboratory. An understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025, 9001 standards. The ability to work within the hours of 10am-6pm and Saturday mornings. Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment. Passion for providing exceptional customer service.
