Job Description - Specialty Clinical Nurse - Ophthalmology (HAU02027)Vacancy No:HAU02027Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe remuneration range for this role is $114,025 - $121,444 and is covered by the collective agreement: NZNO MECA.The ophthalmology department is currently expanding its services, which is an exciting time for all of us. We are moving to a new sensory hub building and are very interested in an experienced ophthalmology clinical nurse specialist to join our team.Our Ophthalmology team are experienced and compassionate professionals and are keen to work with you in a collaborative, educative and patient / whanau focussed approach. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a solution focussed creative thinker to be part of an exciting development for our hospital and region.Specialty Clinical Nurse play a pivotal role in ensuring patient and whanau are supported through their health care journey. We are seeking candidates who are capable to work at top of scope and provide and strive for exceptional quality of care within the planned care environment as per the organisation's policies, procedures and greater organisation's WAKA values.Responsibilities include:Case management of patients with specialist needsConduct nurse led clinicsBe a clinical leader in ophthalmology and work at top of scopeProvide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, interventional procedures and education.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamActively engage in quality improvement initiatives/ developing practice improvementMaintain professional development and competence.Provide educational support and mentorship / provide in-service educationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMaintain a safe and clean environment.Haere mai - come join our WAKA!
