Health New Zealand Lakes is seeking a Senior Medical officer with a passion for improving the quality of life for their patients through Palliative Medicine.
Rotorua Hospital is a District General Hospital in one of the most spectacular regions of New Zealand – native bush, beautiful lakes and rivers, unique geothermal landscapes, and some of the best mountain biking and walking/running trails in NZ. Rotorua is also the perfect place to explore all that the North Island has to offer - it is only an hour from the spectacular east coast beaches, and an hour from stunning Lake Taupo with Mount Ruapehu offering skiing, tramping, fishing, and water sports.
The ideal candidate for this role will have an interest in further developing specialist services to meet the needs of a rapidly growing and culturally diverse population. The role requires you to work across a range of acute inpatient services and ambulatory services including clinics, hospice, and patients' homes.
