The Opportunity Due to internal movement, we are looking for a Specialist Operator Hydrovac to join the Fulton Hogan Contracting Team in Nelson. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a role that is both rewarding and challenging. Reporting to the Project Resource Manager, Contracting you will primarily be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various items of construction equipment and heavy plant, specifically the Hydrovac. You will be working on projects for internal and external customers in the Nelson Region while complying with all relevant code of practice and quality requirements.
The right candidate will be able to: Understand and embrace our Living Safely approach. Operate heavy vehicles, and other road construction equipment, including general maintenance to best practice. Take personal responsibility for the safety of your workmates, the environment, public and yourself. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant job and work instruction. What you'll bring to the table: Minimum Class 4 driver's license Preferably have experience in hydro evacuation Able to work both independently or as a team An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match Excellent communication skills.
