The arts
We are seeking a range of specialist music programme learning coaches (itinerant teachers of music) to join our SMP team and deliver the NZ Curriculum the way it was intended!
We are constantly iterating our local curriculum delivery and seek innovative, adaptable, 'can do' thinkers who can collaborate within and across diverse curriculum teams. Ideally, you will need to visit and find out how things work to determine if our environment is right for you. If you want to teach beyond the walls of the 'classroom', connect learners to the world around them, inspire kids, push them, form genuine relationships, and challenge your own and our learners' mindsets - then get in touch with us.
State your passions and strengths for instrumental and/or vocal contributions and any ensemble interests that may be built into a programme. Full pro-rated non-contact provided and days/times flexible. An opportunity to join an energetic team of staff and over 1400 learners across Y7–10 in a period of rapid growth that will see us reach 2200 students in the coming years.
Strengths in any combination of the following may be an advantage but should not exclude any applicant with other strengths, passions, and/or specialisms from submitting their application:
Wind - any of flute/clarinet/oboe/sax
Lower strings - cello/double bass
Brass - state interests
