Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Specialist We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSEQ Specialist for this pivotal role to support our HSEQ initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity where you'll collaborate with the HSEQ Manager to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, promote health and safety best practices, and maintain quality management systems across our operations.
This role will be based out of our Ellerslie and Mangere offices, with travel across all our other Auckland sites.
Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety: Advise business units on HSEQ best practices, coordinate training, and manage risk assessments.Incident Management: Investigate incidents and near misses, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.Quality Assurance: Support ISO certifications, ensure compliance with quality systems, and maintain necessary certifications.Compliance & Reporting: Assist with HSEQ audits, reporting, and documentation, ensuring adherence to legal and internal standards.Cultural Leadership: Promote a strong safety culture across all teams and ensure emergency procedures and training are up to date.What We're Looking For: Experience: Minimum 3-5 years' proven experience in health and safety, with detailed understanding of H&S legislation.
Knowledge of quality management systems e.g.
ISO 9001.
Experience within a distribution centre and/or laboratory environment is highly desirable.Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Qualifications: Health and Safety certification.
Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety are advantageous.Attributes: Self-motivated, methodical, and able to work independently with sound judgment.This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation committed to safety and continuous improvement.
