Job Title: Specialist AnaesthetistAbout the Role:An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist Anaesthetist to join our dynamic Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. This is a fixed term position up to 1.0 FTE for 12 months, based at Tauranga Hospital with a commitment to supporting services across the Bay of Plenty, including Whakatane Hospital.About the Team/Service/Location:Our team is spread across a vast geographical area, centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatane. As a Specialist Anaesthetist, you will participate in all parts of service provision, including providing care for all age groups, Afterhours, Obstetrics, and Acute Care.About You:We are seeking a Specialist Anaesthetist who is passionate about delivering high-quality anaesthesia and pain management services. The successful applicant must hold qualifications that meet the criteria for vocational registration or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.Key Requirements:Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Why Work with Us:Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
