We are looking for a reflective and adaptable practitioner to join our complex needs teaching team, working with a wonderful and diverse group of primary age students who all have multiple and profound learning and significant physical needs. Expertise in special education pedagogy may be helpful; however, full training and induction will be provided. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, compassionate, and enthusiastic teacher.
Hamilton North School is a specialist school for children and young people who have additional and complex learning needs. Our students are aged 5-21 years and are supported in their learning by a multidisciplinary team inclusive of teachers, support staff, therapists, and specialists. Our school follows the NZ Curriculum , which is adapted and individualised to meet the specific learning needs of our diverse students. While this role is initially for our junior school students, teachers at Hamilton North School often have opportunities to teach different year levels and students with a variety of needs from year to year.
