The role and you
If you are customer focused, want to work with a vibrant group of people who are using cloud technologies, and you have great GIS skills, then this might be the role for you!
Our Corporate GIS team is looking for a Spatial Engineer with 3-5 years practical GIS experience to assist in the delivery of high-quality analysis and systems administration with a strong emphasis on customer service.
This role will be crucial for administrating ArcGIS servers, AGOL solutions, updating and reviewing spatial datasets, doing spatial analysis for various Council projects and providing GIS advice.
You'll be delivering GIS projects including implementing new concepts and developing enterprise-wide spatial services, including web-based delivery, while ensuring best practices and standards.
Our ideal candidate will be someone with a strong customer focus, with proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people and present ideas clearly. You will also bring your experience in project management and can comfortably thrive in a fast paced, results focussed environment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience and knowledge of ESRI products, in particular ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro 2.9.xx
Demonstrated experience in managing ad-hoc projects involving internal and external resources to expand our GIS offerings.
Familiar with the ArcGIS Online suite of applications.
Would be an advantage to have:
Experience in the operation and management of ArcSDE and ArcGIS Server.
Knowledge of Cloud technology solutions (i.e. AWS, Azure, Esri Cloud) and experience in the delivery of GIS services through web-based applications including AGOL and Portal.
