This brand-new facility is a jewel in Rotorua's crown, bringing together the historic healing qualities of the geothermal waters with our unique Ngati Whakaue Maori culture to bring a truly outstanding experience to visitors, within a spectacular setting.

About the Role The Spa Manager is responsible for the 5-star spa experience of our guests. The Spa Manager's areas of responsibility include building and maintaining a talent team with a strong focus on guest experience, spa treatments, sanctuary bathing, and sanctuary retail.

The Spa Manager has financial accountability to achieve the agreed budgets of the spa department.

Key Accountabilities Lead a team of Spa Therapists to deliver an approved 5-star guest experience Operate a unique cultural journey through the spa experience Oversee the training and development of the Spa Therapists Assess employee performance and ensure accountability Rostering and recruitment of Spa Therapists Foster positive and consistent guest relations, handle guest enquiries and complaints promptly to exceed the customers' expectations Ensure good operational order of the Spa including presentation standards and stock levels Manage the use of products and consumables with the spa to meet COG within consumables & professional products Meet retail sales targets through training of team members Financial accountability over the Spa's performance Desired Skills & Experience Essential Tertiary qualifications in Spa Management or related field Diploma in beauty therapy NZ Police check Desirable First Aid & CPR Certificate Qualification in Te Reo Mori Member of an industry body Ability to understand and speak Te Reo Maori Sound knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Ao Maori An understanding of Ngati Whakaue Culture This is an outstanding and unique opportunity to leave your mark on this new business.
