Our client is a Kiwi through and through who lived in Christchurch for many years before moving to the U.K 8 years ago to purchase, redevelop and run hotels. The company currently has 3 hotels, with a 4th coming on board in December. The hotels are located in and around Newcastle, ranging in size and star-rating. Two of the hotel restaurants have 2 rosettes (equivalent to 3 hats in NZ) and are known to be the best restaurants in their respective areas.We are looking for chefs and food & beverage supervisors who have a background in upmarket European dining, with a strong focus on technique and precision. Experience in hatted restaurants, hotels, and luxury lodges will be highly regarded. You'll be working with highly experienced chefs and FOH from throughout the UK and Europe and this is a chance to gain experience very rarely seen in New Zealand. Previous chefs and managers in these venues have gone on to lead teams in award-winning restaurants around the world!Here's some key info:These are full-time permanent roles ranging from CDP to Sous Chef as well as Food & Beverage Supervisors.Your visa (including NHS health cover) will be paid for and is valid for 2 years with the option to extend.Your flights will be paid for.Costs covered by the employer (flights, visa etc.) will need to be repaid if you resign within the duration of the visa (2 years).Initial accommodation provided & assistance with permanent accommodation.Experience in fine dining will be highly regarded.Couples are welcome - your partner can work in the hotels as well.Salaries range from approx $60,000 - $80,000 NZD.You need a valid passport.In order to be able to live and work in England under the Youth Mobility Visa, you must:Be a NZ Citizen - this is not negotiable.Be aged between 18 - 35 at the time of application.Have £2530 (approx $5300 NZD) in your bank account at the time of application and these funds must have been in that same account for a minimum of 28 days prior to making your application.You will also undergo a criminal background check, reference checks, and may be required to pass a drug test. We may choose to conduct paid practical skills tests which will allow you to showcase your abilities.
