Sous Chef - Mr Go'S

Details of the offer

Mr Go's has recently relocated to an all-new 145 seater restaurant on Eva St. As we enter our 9th year, we're looking for great chefs to join our team and contribute to this busy and fun restaurant. We've built an excellent reputation for great food, drink, and hospitality. We're currently hiring for an experienced Sous Chef. This is a full-time position.
We open seven days a week; dinner from 4pm on Monday and Tuesday, and lunch and dinner from 12pm Wednesday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities: You'll need to present with:
Decent kitchen experience, preferably with at least one year of previous Sous Chef experience in a busy restaurant. Quality and consistent cooking skills. Ability to handle pressure and busy periods. Desire to learn and progress. Happy to follow instructions. Embody our values - be a genuinely good person who wants to come to work each day and contribute to a professional, fun and supportive restaurant. A high cleanliness standard and understanding of food safety's importance. Punctual, organised and well-grounded. Flexible availability across a seven-day work roster. We can work around other life commitments. You do not need experience in Asian cuisine.
Core Values: We have a set of core values we run our restaurant by. You'll need to resonate with these:
Professional - "Do it right." Agile - "Let's get to it." Transparent - "Straight up." Consistent - "Every plate, every time." What's in it for you: An employer with a good reputation for diversity, inclusion, and providing a safe, supportive, and happy workplace. Great pay with a path of progression also given. Indicative $31.5-34, depending on experience. Great discount including at our sister venues, Ombra and Kisa, and a staff drink Friday-Sunday. Work in a modern, well-resourced space housed in an earthquake-strengthened building. Fun, friendly, and well-organised work environment with excellent systems and supportive management team. A commitment to invest in your development. Mr Go's is part of The Dining Room Group, also operating Ombra, Kisa, and LTD. Event Space. We are a young and ambitious collective of restaurants that focus on accessible and distinctive dining, underlined by quality food and beverages and excellent hospitality. There are multiple opportunities across our group for personal growth.
Please email Stef Yates, Human Resource Manager, to apply. Immediate start available but we will also wait for the right candidates: Apply online for this role or contact Stef for more information.
