Immediate Starts Available Part Time and Full Time Roles Ongoing Positions Are you a passionate recently trained or experienced sous Chef looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our client in Wellington. We are also interested in applications from chefs with any level of experience.
You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes. Your ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations will be crucial. You will also play a key role in menu planning and development, working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present high-quality food Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring freshness and quality of ingredients. You should have strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, excellent knife skills, and a keen attention to detail. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work weekends as needed are also important. Strong communication and teamwork skills will help you thrive in this role. Requirements: Proven experience as a sous Chef or have recently trained to become a chef (experience in a high-volume kitchen and/or café setting preferred) Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Excellent knife skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work weekends as needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Available for weekend work Due to the nature of the role all applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and Ministry Of Justice check.
