Details of the offer

We are looking for a Sous Chef with experience to join the Alpine Lodge, St Arnaud Nelson Lakes National Park, New Zealand from end of October onwards.
This position is perfect for someone who has at least 2 years of experience as a sous chef.
Minimum hours per week are 30 and the maximum is 45 hours, you will receive two days off per week with a rotating roster including weekends.
This is a permanent position and the hourly rate we are offering is $30.
Your key tasks will be to assist the head with daily prep, help run the line during breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts. You are also expected to run the kitchen on the head chef's day off.
The Alpine Lodge kitchen is led by the wonderful Etienne Wessels who is truly passionate about his food and the well-being of his kitchen team.

The Alpine Lodge is a family-owned and operated hotel just over one hour's easy drive from Nelson and Blenheim.
We have excellent staff accommodation available. We work together as a team supporting each other with a positive attitude and a willingness to be flexible when the pressure is on. Our team is international, we work together well, are fit, positive, and love living in the beautiful mountain village of St. Arnaud.
You will need to perform under pressure within a very supportive team environment and conduct yourself in a professional and calm manner at all times.
