Full time - 40 Hours

Our Foodstore & Eatery is a beautiful destination venue, where we strive to develop the Barker's brand by building connections through our hospitality and retail offerings. We create delicious tasting food & beverages, using our wide range of products which have been made on the corner of the Barker's Family Farm in Geraldine since 1969.

Our aim is to support our team whilst taking care of our guests and showcasing the quality Barker's food and beverage range. We like to have a bit of fun and add a bit of sparkle to our guests' day.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. Specifically, looking for applicants that are wanting to grow and develop their skills and career in the kitchen.

In this position you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization are maintained at all times. You will work closely with our Head Chef and the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

To be successful in this role you will need to be:

Experienced and confident cook with a passion for creating great food

Someone who enjoys working in a busy, fast paced environment producing consistently high-quality product.

Passionate about great food and creating new and exciting products that showcase the extensive Barker's range.

Supportive, confident, and capable of managing your own time to meet daily role requirements

A positive team player who is quick to learn and quick with a smile

Guest & team focused and great communicator

Prepared to take on any task required to support the team and get the job done

An organised person who has an eye for detail

Patient and able to teach and guide less experienced kitchen and front of house staff.

Adaptable to the ebbs and flows of café service.

2 years experience in a chef role or qualifications in cookery

Full training and support will be given in your role to develop and grow your career in the Hospitality Industry.
