Sous Chef

We are currently looking for a Sous Chef for our bar, who will be responsible for the following tasks:

Direct food preparation and collaborate with the head chef. Ensure that the food is prepared properly.
Assist with designing the food and drink menu.
Ensure that the food preparation and the plates presented are of high quality.
Oversee and supervise other kitchen staff.
Assist with inventory and management of supplies.
Ensure that the kitchen is in good condition.
Keep the work station clean and tidy.
Ensure that the kitchen complies with food safety standards.
Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve the kitchen's performance.
Assist the main chef in training new employees.
Help with monitoring and maintaining kitchen equipment.

You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Other Requirements:

One year of relevant work experience.
Availability to work on weekends and evening shifts.
Interpersonal skills.
Team player.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Schedule:

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Shift work
Weekend availability
