We are a Country Tourist Hotel, (Gastro Pub) with a separate restaurant located 47kms from Queenstown at the ''Head of The lake''. We have a bar with a bar menu and a separate "Gastro Pub" 'Bonnie Jean"" restaurant & menu serving quality cuisine. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have a large outdoor area. The hotel has been renovated along with the hotel ensuite rooms, bar and accommodation. More accommodation is being added soon. We also operate Glenorchy Info Centre & Glenorchy General store and a bottle shop. We have good live music during the Summer months. We are looking to employ a Sous Chef/Chef departie to compliment our Team. The applicants will need at least 4 years experience as a Chef de partie in either restaurants or hotels. You may be a Chef de partie ready to step up to the next level. Our preference is for a Chef with "Grill experience" Grill skills are essential. The job is for 40 plus hours per week but no more than 50 hours during our busy season. We guarantee 40 hours per week. Wages are 31.00 to 32.00 per hour depending on experience and skill level etc. Our focus is on quality restaurant cuisine and "Gastro Pub food" in our "Bonnie Jean Restaurant'' and bar. We use fresh ingredients and top quality free range meats. Our kitchen is a ''Whopper"" with lots of room to move! We use Chomp for our FCP with the Food Safety programme . Top wages and conditions for the right person. This a full time permanent position with holidays that can be taken during the Winter months to travel etc. Start date is flexible. It can be immediately or to suit , but by mid December. We are prepared to sponsor the right person for their work visa and residency. This is a full time permanent position. Staff can save living in Glenorchy as the cost of living is less than Queenstown. We are 35 minutes drive from Queenstown at the "Head of the Lake".
