About the Role Want to work in a great department with adventure on your doorstep?Are you a dynamic Sonographer with expert clinical experience, looking for a leadership challenge and a lifestyle change?The Rotorua Radiology department is located in the heart of the North Island's adventure region with copious outdoor activities such as world-class mountain biking, white-water rafting, tramping, and within an easy drive to the Bay of Plenty beaches and all that Taupo has to offer, as well as skiing on Mt Ruapehu!
Te Whatu Ora Lakes is offering a full-time 40 hours per week sonographer position with the successful applicant working with a small energetic ultrasound team within a busy regional hospital. The team performs a range of routine and acute imaging across abdominal, vascular, muscular-skeletal, and some obstetric scanning. Currently, the service is provided from the Rotorua site only. A successful Capex programme would see a service at Taupo Hospital (satellite site) being offered.
An interest in or experience with training and mentoring sonographer trainees to support Lakes to re-engage in ultrasound training is an advantage.
About You Medical Radiation Technologist's Board (MRTB) recognised Medical Ultrasound qualification and postgraduate clinical experience.Registration with New Zealand MRT Board with current Annual Practising Certificate.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to positively engage with our patients and hospital staff.The ability and enthusiasm to learn and grow.About the Team/Service/Location Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand. Salary: $113,551 to $133,516 pro-rated to hours worked.
