Location, Location, Location!
Invercargill gives you everything you'd want from a city hospital, with a modern work environment, interesting work, and a range of specialties, but with a small hospital's collegial feel. You'll be on first-name terms with all the staff, including the doctors. Invercargill is a lovely city for families, with affordable housing, lower cost of living, excellent education, and adventure opportunities. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, many of New Zealand's major tourist destinations (ski fields, national parks, vineyards) and hidden treasures are on Southland's doorstep. Life is easy without a major commute. Additionally, you'll enjoy free onsite parking!
About the Role
Our Radiology Service provides care to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island. Our work is predominantly emergency and inpatient cases. You'll work across all areas of ultrasound – general, vascular, paediatric, obstetric, and more. You'll also have opportunities to work alongside our Radiologists to assist with interventional procedures.
As a team that prides itself on the quality of care provided to our patients, there is an expectation that you will participate in quality initiatives as part of your role. You will also participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster shared equally among your Sonographer colleagues.

About You
As an outstanding team player, you'll have the energy to make a positive difference with both patients and colleagues. In addition to enjoying a challenging and varied workload, you can look forward to a competitive pay rate and a culture where staff are included, valued, and respected for their expertise.
Along with excellent spoken and written English, you'll need a qualification in ultrasound, as well as a current practicing certificate and to be (or able to be) registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZMRTB).
If all that sounds good, there's no better time – or place – to make the next move in your career. You'll receive a warm Southern welcome, and we might be biased, but we reckon there's no better place in New Zealand.
