Sonographer, Radiology
1.0 FTE
This position is located in our well-equipped ultrasound department where we undertake a wide range of investigations including general abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, musculoskeletal and vascular studies.
Our radiology team prides itself on being friendly and supportive and works with the people of our community to promote, encourage and enable their health, well-being and independence. This role is best suited to a person who values teamwork, respects individual needs and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes.
We are looking for a Sonographer with excellent communication skills, a high standard of patient care, enthusiasm, and the ability to work efficiently in our busy department in a team of four others.
You will have:
Some experience in general, vascular, upper abdomen, obstetric, gynaecologic, and musculoskeletal areas
NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate in Ultrasound
Excellent technical skills and knowledge
Well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family-centred care
Be capable of working independently and within a small team
A strong commitment to quality healthcare
You must be able to work well within a close team and be willing to take part in training students.
