This role is best suited to a person who values teamwork, respects individual needs and is motivated by excellent clinical outcomes.We have a well-equipped department with five modern ultrasound machines (Five Philips Epiq's and two Toshiba Aplio 500's).Our Sonographers work primarily at our Taranaki Base Hospital site but do also rotate to provide scanning at one of our satellite sites.We are looking for a Sonographer with excellent communication skills, a high standard of patient care, enthusiasm, and the ability to work efficiently in our busy department in a team of four others.We have a friendly welcoming team, and can offer a great work-life balance (with no out of hours call), enabling you to head to the beach after work.You will have:Some experience in general, vascular, upper abdomen, obstetric, gynaecologic, and musculoskeletal areasNZ registration and a current annual practising certificate in UltrasoundExcellent technical skills and knowledgeWell-developed communication and critical thinking skills and a commitment to family-centred careBe capable of working independently and within a small teamA strong commitment to quality healthcareYou will also be versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment.You must be able to work well within a close team and be willing to take part in training students.If you want to make an application, click on "Apply Online" from within this page.Employer: Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand TaranakiNote: You may be redirected to the employer's careers website.
