Mo te turanga - About the role As a Solution Architect in our Channels and Integration Architecture team, you'll play a key role in leading the modernisation of our Channel Architecture to enable purpose-led customer propositions, enable more compelling customer and employee experiences, reduce duplication of effort, and improve speed, safety, and efficiency of delivery, through the implementation of modern architecture, standardisation and reuse.

Ka aha to ra e kite ai? - What will your day look like As a Solution Architect, you will:
Proactively engage with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure solutions are customer-focussed and fit-for-purpose in the digital self-service channels and assisted service channels areas. Author and contribute to high level solution designs, solution modelling, options analyses, and other architecture artefacts, as required. Develop architecture patterns for re-use across the architecture practice. Socialise architecture artefacts with key stakeholders and bring them through the architecture governance process for endorsement. Be part of our cross-disciplined architecture team and the broader engineering and customer experience communities in the enterprise. Actively participate in helping to build out the personal banking technology roadmap by identifying opportunities and advocating for newer and better architecture and technology approaches to keep the organisation nimble and competitive. Ou Pukenga? - What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of mobile and modern web technologies, RESTful APIs, micro-frontend architectures, webapp security, mobile security, API security, HTTP protocol, OAuth, OIDC, customer identity and access management, etc. Design: Appreciation and participation in the use of architecture models, frameworks and practices, e.g. BIAN, TOGAF, Architecture Patterns. Experience: A proven track record for providing solution direction in medium to large enterprises, especially in the digital channels application domain. Stakeholder Management: Confident and effective in stakeholder engagement at multiple levels. Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders to inform their decision making. Experience working as a full-stack digital engineer or similar. Experience working as an engineer in highly scalable and highly performance-optimised digital services. Experience in modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience in regulated industries (e.g. Banking, Financial Services, Payments, Insurance, Telecommunication, etc). Experience working in UI/UX design.
