The business domain we work within ensures there are always new and interesting challenges to address and that the work we do matters - electricity is critical to our economy, our health system, and the wellbeing of our citizens!About the opportunityAs a senior member of our team, you'll provide Solution Architecture and technical leadership to project delivery of IT solutions to business problems. You'll have a specific focus on developing and enhancing custom/customized solutions using modern technologies, open-source software, and reusable frameworks. As a Solution Architect you will also lead the selection, evaluation, and implementation of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to supplement our internally developed functionality.You'll also support the Principal Architect roles in strategy/architecture and delivery teams creating and maintaining the Transpower ICT Portfolio Plans and Roadmaps. Information Services & Technology (IST) Solution Architectures enable fit for purpose IST information and technology solutions to be acquired/built and operated to economically meet business requirements.This is a role where you can truly make a positive impact on our people, organisation, and industry.What you'll bringSignificant experience in solution architecture, design, development, and integration of enterprise-scale applications.Hands-on development experience with modern technologies.Experience and understanding of application, integration, platform, security, network, and infrastructure architectures and technologies.Experience in options analysis and selection through a commercial procurement exercise (RFI/RFPs); including implementing and handling customisation of commercial-off-the-shelf solutions.Experience in DevOps environments and designing for operations.Flexibility and adaptability to work in a changing environment and provide assistance where needed.You'll be passionate about delivery and quality and have a desire to learn and share your knowledge with others.
