Solicitor - Litigation

This firm strives to provide excellent legal services in a cost-effective way for their clients.
They act in major civil and commercial litigation disputes for both public and private sector clients, advising on human rights and bill of rights cases, as well as matters of environmental and climate change law, including issues related to The Treaty of Waitangi.Key responsibilities:Varies depending on the work you are most interested in.
This role affords the successful candidate the opportunity to work beneath a range of partners specialising in:Resource Management;Public and regulatory;Public litigation.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, case law and industry trends;Draft relevant court documents for court and judicial review procedures.To be successful in this role you should have:Strong knowledge of court processes and laws;Strong academic transcript, although all applications will be assessed on merit;Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality;Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail;Strong research skills with the ability to analyse complex legal information;1+ PQE; however, all applications will be assessed on merit.This role is open to candidates with backgrounds as judges' clerks, court experience, or in public regulatory teams.If you are looking to move to a firm that specializes in public, regulatory, and litigation work, then this role is for you.
