Solicitor - Employment

We are working with a tier one employment team based in the heart of Auckland's CBD looking for a solicitor or senior solicitor to join their high performing team. This role offers the chance to work on some of the most high-profile employment matters, with a wide range of clients. The successful candidate will receive exceptional and ongoing training and mentorship from partners and senior associates who are invested in their success. You will be working closely with the team on a full range of employment law matters. You will have the opportunity to advise on complex issues such as restructurings, performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations and dismissals. Your role will also involve drafting employment agreements and policies, advising on big ticket M&A transactions, assisting with contentious matters, advocating at mediations and courts, and health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities: Advise on both contentious and non-contentious aspects of employment law; Contentious issues can be Personal Grievances and advocacy in the Employment Court; Non contentious advise on issues such as restructurings, performance management, disciplinary processes, investigations and dismissals; Draft employment agreements and policies; Advise on the employment aspects of large M&A transactions; Advise on health and safety compliance and enforcement. To be successful in this role you must: Have 3+ PQE, with some experience in employment law or litigation, although all applications will be assessed on merit; Willingness to learn; Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; Enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
