Syos family of utilitarian vehicles include 450kg helicopter UAV, 6 metre boat USV, and 6 wheeler UGVs. All powered with Syos' control system with various advanced computer vision, swarming and communication systems.Job Responsibilities:Develop and support software applicationsCollaborate with other engineers throughout the development processDesign, implement, integrate, and test software in C++Develop documentation for softwareMaintain a Git repository and complete documentation for all contributed codeServe as subject matter expert of the software implementationStay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into designsQualifications and Skills:A Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent technical discipline3+ years of proven applicable experience in software developmentSoftware development experience within a Linux environmentDevelopment experience in C++ languageExperience with Git (or similar source code management tool) and CI/CD pipelinesStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a teamPassion for robotics and a desire to contribute to the growth of the unmanned/autonomous systems industryPreferred Experience (but not essential):Software testing methodsFamiliarity with Agile software development practicesExperience in leading projectsLocation:This position is based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
