About the role
Launching a rocket and operating satellites requires a symphony of multiple teams, multiple sites, and multiple complex systems working together towards mission success. Software drives every aspect of this, and Rocket Lab has a large number of complex software products.
Working with Rocket Lab's GNC team, the Software Build Engineer will be responsible for the continuous integration and deployment (automation of the building, testing, and distribution) of the avionics, ground systems, and production software for Rocket Lab's GNC Launch team.
Required Skills / Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a software development environment with a major focus on build, continuous integration, and deployment of software.
Experience with embedded software development and associated tools.
Git
Linux and Windows system administration
Experience with Redmine, Jira, or other issue trackers
Experience with Team City, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, TFS CI, or other build systems.
Experience with make, cmake, automake, or other build tools
Scrum
Docker or Kubernetes
Experience with web and cloud software build and deployment
Network security
Project Management
Chef, Puppet, Salt, Transform, or other provisioning systems
