Social Worker - Intellectual Disability Services at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, OtagoIntellectual Disability Services, Dunedin Salary band - $77,087 - $107,600p.a, pro rata and Kiwisaver0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) permanent opportunityCompetitive salary, Kiwisaver and on-site fitness facilitiesAccess to regular supervision, professional development, and peer supportMo te turanga - About the role: Apply evidenced based and best practice principles to underpin social work practiceUndertake appropriate social work assessments (including psychosocial and risk assessments) of the consumers and their family's needs and situationExhibit effective assessment and counselling skills and be clinically competentUnderstand the impact of family harm upon consumers and their family especially children and work to reduce the risk of further harmFunction as a member of a multidisciplinary team and liaise appropriately with relevant health care professionals, managers, and organisationsBe self-motivated, innovative and an effective problem solverEmpathetic with patients and their families/whanauBe able to work autonomously as well as within a multidisciplinary teamHave commitment to maintain social work standards and ethicsHold a current APC and Registration with the Social Workers Board of New ZealandThe successful applicant must hold a full and clean NZ driver's licence.
