We deliver diverse programmes spanning social housing, whanau support, disability services, education, and environmental initiatives.Our vision is a community where everyone can thrive, guided by our core values of respectful relationships (whakawhanaungatanga), obligations (kaitiakitanga), and care for all people (manaakitanga).About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team and support the delivery of quality community services.
This role involves working closely with families, children, and community stakeholders to achieve positive social outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Deliver tailored assessments, interventions, and parenting support to children, young people, and their families.Facilitate Strengthening Families meetings and ensure completion of action plans.Manage cases involving families at medium to high risk of harm.Advocate for clients and liaise with schools, community groups, and agencies.Develop and deliver group programmes to address identified community needs.Maintain accurate client documentation and contribute to audits and reporting.Work in alignment with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) guidelines and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.What You Bring:Bachelor of Social Work and current SWRB registration.Knowledge of social work practice, human development, and social systems.Strong communication and counselling skills.Commitment to working with Maori communities and understanding of te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills.Why Join CILT?Contribute to meaningful, community-driven initiatives.Be part of a collaborative and supportive team.Opportunities for professional development, including training on Te Tiriti and bicultural practices.4 weeks annual shut down with an additional 1-week annual leave.Birthday leave.If you're ready to make a positive impact in the Coromandel community, APPLY NOW or contact Angela on 021861454 for more information.Applications close on 11th January 2025.
