Are you a dedicated and compassionate social worker with a passion for changing the lives of vulnerable children and their families? If so, the Social Worker in Schools (SWIS) program is looking for someone like you to be part of our mission to enhance the life outcomes of these young minds.
About Us: The SWIS program was established to empower children facing social and family challenges that put their education, social well-being, and health at risk. We work collaboratively with children and families in a voluntary partnership, and our team members enjoy the benefits of SW pay equity.
Key Competencies:

Partner with schools and families, making a real difference in the lives of children
Possess a strengths-based, solution-focused, child-centered, and culturally responsive approach
Be fully committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Exhibit a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and their families
Bring a responsive, creative, and flexible approach to social work
Hold a degree in Social Work and ideally possess post-qualification experience
Have professional registration or be actively working towards it
Demonstrate the ability to work both independently within schools and as a part of the SWIS team
Possess knowledge and experience in case work and group work with both children and adults.
