We believe in the importance of community, connection and relationships – and in the ability of young people to shape their own futures.The Whetu Marewa (Rising Star) services aims to build the confidence, resilience & wellbeing of taiohi (young people) with mental health and addiction related issues by enabling access to a range of supported interventions. You will be drawing on your experience in working with young people and their whanau (families) in the Hauraki and Coromandel regions to improve their mental health and well-being. You will be working closely with taiohi and whanau to support them in their journey toward positive change and building stronger connections with their communities.What you will be doing:Supporting taiohi and whanau: you'll provide social work support to young people experiencing mental health and addiction challenges, helping them thrive in school, their community, and their family life.Community & Projects: Be involved in exciting projects that help people grow and become the best version of themselves.Team Support: Work alongside a dedicated team of Youth Workers to promote wellbeing, independence, and strong connections for the people we support.We're looking for someone who is approachable, easy to connect with, and known for their genuine, caring nature.
