Mo te turanga - About the role
This role is an essential part of our multi-disciplinary team and provides expert knowledge, skills and input to the care team. In this role you will work with and have the support of our multidisciplinary teams and will also work collaboratively with our partners in the health, NGO, criminal justice and corrections services.
The Social Worker role with the Invercargill Forensic Mental Health Team provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring of people identified as having moderate to severe mental illness and associated psychosocial issues.
You'll bring to this role previous experience in a mental health social work position, ideally in a forensic community setting, and have excellent communication and time management skills. You will be a team player and will demonstrate commitment and innovation in your work.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the role you should have social work registration with the New Zealand Social Work Registration Board (SWRB). You should also have a current, clean driver's licence and be eligible to live and work in New Zealand.

Utu whanui - Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
