About the role
Our Child Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team is currently looking for a skilled and passionate mental health Social Worker to join our team. The Social Work role is vital to support the mental health of our tamariki/taiohi across Taranaki as you will be supporting them through their journey along with their whanau. The role will work within the community and within our integrated model of care.
What you'll do with your time:
Undertake all components of key working, including comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management, wellness, and treatment planning
Provide client-centred care, utilising evidence-based treatment strategies including, where appropriate, talking therapies
Coordinate care at the right time with input from external providers
Assist across the wider team where needed
About you:
Successful candidates will have:
Registered Social Worker with Current Practicing Certificate
Strong background and experience working with children and young people as well as mental health addictions
Ability to work under pressure, be a good team player and positively contribute to service delivery
Be prepared to travel across the Taranaki rohe to meet the needs of our people and have a willing, 'can do' attitude
