The Social Work role is vital to support the mental health of our tamariki/taiohi across Taranaki as you will be supporting them through their journey along with their whanau. The role will work within the community and within our integrated model of care. There will be opportunities and support for professional development and ongoing role development. The team works with children and young people 0-18 years of age and has close links with other child health staff including Paediatricians, inpatient facility staff and Non-Government Organisations.
What you'll do with your time Undertake all components of key working, including comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management, wellness and treatment planningProvide client-centred care, utilising evidence-based treatment strategies including, where appropriate, talking therapiesCoordinate care at the right time with input from external providersAssist across the wider team where neededSuccessful candidates will have:
Registered Social Worker with Current Practicing CertificateStrong background and experience working with children and young people as well as mental health & addictionsAbility to work under pressure, be a good team player and positively contribute to service deliveryBe prepared to travel across the Taranaki rohe to meet the needs of our people and have a willing, 'can do' attitudeWe can offer you a welcoming and supportive environment with a team that is committed to ensuring you are successful in your role.
