Seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre. Be a key part in the recovery journey of our Tangata Whai ora and use your skills and knowledge to improve health outcomes. This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Te whiwhinga mahi - The Opportunity
We are seeking applications from registered social workers with experience in Mental Health.

Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) is a specialist, recovery-focused, open 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation service for people aged 18 to 65 years who are experiencing severe mental illness.

Many people present with risks to themselves or others, and have co-existing drug and alcohol issues, forensic histories, physical health conditions, and complicating health, social, or other factors.

BRC offers assessment, treatment, and intensive rehabilitation combined with a high level of clinical support and is most suitable for people with persistent, active mental health symptoms and disabilities who have the potential to benefit from intensive rehabilitation.

Important Skills
We welcome applications from experienced Social Workers who have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in Social Work and have relevant experience working in mental health.

You will be registered with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board and hold a current APC. This position is not suitable for new graduates.
