Advanced Clinician Social Worker - Adult Services, Specialist Mental Health Services
Permanent, full-time role 1 FTE (40 hours per week) Based in Waitakere. SMHS provides mental health input and assessment for tangata whai i te ora experiencing moderate to severe mental health symptoms and moderate to severe impairment in psychosocial functioning. We are excited to offer an innovative and unique social work advanced practice role. Based at the Waitemata Community Mental Health Centre on Paramount Drive in Takapuna, the role works across the west teams and reaches into inpatient units for whaiora currently under west community teams, supporting those with complex social work needs across the inpatient and community continuum of care.
We seek a motivated and committed registered social worker who demonstrates advanced knowledge and clinical expertise, adept in navigating the conflicting challenges present in safeguarding practices with tangata whai i te ora and their whanau.
Ensuring equitable access to and delivery of social work practice to improve health outcomes for Maori, Pasifika, and disabled populations would be pivotal in your practice.
You will provide clinical and practice consultancy to the social workers and multidisciplinary team members, demonstrate leadership with respect to safeguarding adults from abuse, and contribute to the ongoing development of services to meet the future needs of the Waitemata communities.
