Joining Our Team

BCP Council has a number of Social Work teams that operate across all specialist areas, including Adults and Older People's Mental Health, Preparing for Adulthood Services, Learning Disability Services, Autism services, Forensic, Assertive Outreach and Community Rehabilitation Teams. We are committed to working within a strengths-based model and as such continue to work within the principles of Fulfilling Lives in meeting our duties within the Care Act.

An enthusiastic and motivated professional is sought, who can work autonomously, and as part of the team, whilst contributing proactively to the development of the service and meeting the core objectives of BCP Council, meeting the demands of the older population within a defined geographical area. This is a single full-time vacancy based within an Older Persons Community Mental Health Team (OPCMHT). This team benefits from the active involvement of a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Clinical Team Leader, Social Work Team Manager, Community Mental Health Nurses, a Support Time Recovery Worker, and administration support. This post is open to applicants with a demonstrable history of working as a Social Worker at a level 2, and keen to move into a more autonomous role, or those already practicing at a level 3. The requisite Qualifications and demonstrable experience in practice as a BIA and a Safeguarding Practitioner is essential for this role. An AMHP qualification is preferable, but not essential, as the successful applicant will have an opportunity to work towards this qualification under the sponsorship of BCP Council if successful.

We also support an element of home working as part of our agile hybrid model.

Applications

Applications will be reviewed as and when received, you do not need to wait until the closing date.
