We are a charitable trust and we were established 30 years ago.We have a base of solid values and are committed to being flexible and responsive in meeting the community's needs.Our focus is on Tamaki and Whanau, individuals and older people and we provide a range of social services and programmes.We are currently in the process of transitioning our Foodbank into a Social Supermarket and we are seeking a special person to join our team as a Social Supermarket coordinator.The social Supermarket Coordinator will be responsible for:Assisting the Operations Manager with running day-to-day operations of the Social Supermarket.Meeting and Greeting Clients and managing bookingsCompleting Needs Assessments and meal planning with clientsManaging the checkout process and maintaining accurate client recordsManaging all Food Inventory in the Social SupermarketPickup donated goods as requiredEnsuring that Supermarket Stock is correctly placed on the shelves.Assisting with monthly stock takes.Ensuring that other MBST offices have sufficient food stock as per demand.Show initiative and ensure that all tasks are done to a high standard.A commitment to encourage full independence and self-determination of our clients.Supporting staff and volunteers with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Mangere Budgeting Services TrustSupporting the Chief Executive Officer and Operations Manager with any other duties as directedLifting weight to 20kg might be required.Personal Attributes & Success FactorsThe ability to work across government and community sectors, including working with iwi and with other ethnic groups.Well-developed communication in written (which will be tested) and spoken EnglishAn understanding of the principals of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to work sensitively and appropriately with a range of cultural and ethnic groupsWell-developed relationship management skills - able to establish, build and maintain effective working relationshipsAble to lift weight to 20kgPrevious experience in the retail, foodbank or warehousing industry would be advantageousYour application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?What's your expected annual base salary?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.Thinking about a career as a Coordinator?Explore job and salary trends, in-demand skills and role reviews.#J-18808-Ljbffr
