We are looking for two (2) enthusiastic and energetic Social Service practitioners to work from our Levin office.The primary role of the social service practitioner is to work with whanau to achieve their moemoea.
You will have a working knowledge of a range of models used in iwi social services and their application.We will consider practitioners with experience working in the social services sector.Skills and experienceWe are looking for the following:A qualification as a Social Worker or experience working in social servicesPreferably SWRB registeredDemonstrated commitment to Kaupapa Maori frameworks of practiceTe Reo me ona Tikanga (or at least an introductory level)Familiarity working in culturally diverse environmentsExperience working with at risk tamariki and whanauThe ability to provide practical and effective solutions to a variety of issues (some complex) with a commitment to 'Best Practice'A good working knowledge of related legislationCompetence in the use of Information Technology, Windows suiteExcellent personal management skills with the ability to work effectively under pressureDemonstrated competence in maintaining service files and other informationProven ability to network within the communityA team player with a sense of humourIf you are interested in the role, send a CV and cover letter to ******.
