**Position Overview:**

The Social Media Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing SunTrust Banks' online presence. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of social media trends. This part-time position allows for an autonomous work environment where the employee will manage a variety of responsibilities aimed at creating engaging content and fostering community interaction.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Content Creation & Management:**
- Develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy that aligns with SunTrust Banks' marketing goals.
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality content for our social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency.

2. **Engagement & Community Building:**
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and reviews across all social media platforms.
- Foster relationships with followers and potential customers to enhance brand loyalty.
- Organize and participate in social media campaigns, contests, and promotions to drive engagement.

3. **Analytics & Reporting:**
- Analyze performance metrics of social media campaigns and prepare regular reports to assess effectiveness.
- Utilize data to refine strategies that will boost engagement, follower growth, and conversion rates.
- Keep updates on industry trends and competitor movements to adapt strategies accordingly.

4. **Brand Advocacy:**
- Act as a brand ambassador by promoting SunTrust Banks' values and mission on social media.
- Craft compelling narratives that position SunTrust as a leader in the financial services sector.

5. **Research & Development:**
- Conduct market research to identify new social media trends and platforms for potential adoption.
- Stay ahead of the curve with emerging technologies and best practices in social media management.

**Requirements:**

- **Education & Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management or a similar role.

- **Technical Skills:**
- Proficient in social media platforms and management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.
- Familiarity with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to track performance metrics.

- **Personal Traits:**
- Driven, with a passion for social media and digital marketing.
- Confident in decision-making and able to communicate effectively.

- **Soft Skills:**
- Strong time management abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
