**Position Overview:**

Nucor is seeking a motivated and reliable Social Media Manager to join our innovative team. This part-time remote position requires a creative professional with a passion for building brand presence and community engagement through effective social media strategies. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence and drive brand awareness.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Social Media Strategy Development:**
- Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Nucor's business goals and enhances brand visibility.
- Analyze competitor activity and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.

2. **Content Creation and Management:**
- Develop engaging and on-brand content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, sales, and product development) to gather content ideas and ensure consistency in messaging.

3. **Community Engagement:**
- Build and maintain active relationships with followers, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Cultivate online communities, monitor discussions, and promote positive interactions.

4. **Analytics and Reporting:**
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools; adjust strategy based on insights to optimize engagement and growth.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports to demonstrate impact and ROI of social media activities.

5. **Campaign Management:**
- Plan, create, and manage social media campaigns, promotions, and contests to engage audiences and drive traffic to Nucor's website.
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure campaigns align with overall marketing strategies.

6. **Training and Support:**
- Provide guidance and training to other team members regarding best practices in social media usage and engagement.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation.

**Requirements:**

- **Education and Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in social media management or a similar role.

- **Technical Skills:**
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and analytics.

- **Personality Traits:**
- Highly motivated self-starter with a track record of reliability and accountability.
- Adaptable, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

- **Soft Skills:**
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey messages clearly and engagingly.

- **Additional Requirements:**
- Interest in the steel manufacturing industry and a general understanding of Nucor's mission and values.
