Position Overview:
Nucor is seeking a motivated and reliable Social Media Manager to join our innovative team. This part-time remote position requires a creative professional with a passion for building brand presence and community engagement through effective social media strategies. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence and drive brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Nucor's business goals and enhances brand visibility.
Analyze competitor activity and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
Content Creation and Management: Develop engaging and on-brand content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, sales, and product development) to gather content ideas and ensure consistency in messaging.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain active relationships with followers, responding to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Cultivate online communities, monitor discussions, and promote positive interactions.
Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance using analytics tools; adjust strategy based on insights to optimize engagement and growth.
Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports to demonstrate impact and ROI of social media activities.
Campaign Management: Plan, create, and manage social media campaigns, promotions, and contests to engage audiences and drive traffic to Nucor's website.
Collaborate with marketing team to ensure campaigns align with overall marketing strategies.
Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to other team members regarding best practices in social media usage and engagement.
Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in social media management or a similar role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and analytics.
Personality Traits: Highly motivated self-starter with a track record of reliability and accountability.
Adaptable, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and proactive approach.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey messages clearly and engagingly.
Additional Requirements: Interest in the steel manufacturing industry and a general understanding of Nucor's mission and values.
